Chiara La Piana (Kiki)
Chiara Leilani La Piana is a Hawaiian–Italian composer, singer, and music producer whose work spans cinematic scoring, pop, dance, and K-pop–influenced music, united by a deep commitment to emotional storytelling and music as a force for connection.
Her artistic journey blends classical and jazz training with contemporary songwriting and production. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Music (Jazz Singing) from the Conservatory of Alessandria in Italy and a Master’s degree in Film Scoring & Composition from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. This dual background allows her to move fluidly between film scores, trailer music, and modern commercial genres, creating sound that is both expressive and current.
Alongside her work in film and media, Chiara has extensive experience as a singer-songwriter and producer in pop, dance, and K-pop–inspired projects, collaborating internationally on vocal productions and genre-crossing releases. Her music often blends cinematic textures with electronic and rhythmic elements, shaped by a strong vocal identity and global sensibility.
Having lived and worked across Italy, South Korea, and the United States, Chiara’s artistic voice is informed by diverse cultural influences and cross-cultural collaboration. Beyond commercial and cinematic work, she is deeply committed to volunteering for peace through music, contributing her skills to community, youth, and peace-focused projects where music serves as a tool for dialogue, healing, and unity.
She is the founder of La Piana Music Production, a creative platform dedicated to cinematic music licensing, pop and dance productions, custom scoring, and artistic collaborations. Across all genres, her work explores themes of transformation, resilience, and human connection, reflecting a belief in music’s power to inspire understanding and positive change.
